Obviously not my composition - I know longer have a wife to use as a model (nor wish to use a model). That's 20 years in the past. But the contrast, white balance, and brightness of the photos certainly make me think of Hopper. Google gets a lot of credit for making that easy. But I saw it and raced for the camera.
You cannot capture what you cannot sense. In words, photos, music, painting, sculpture. To create art is to acknowledge one's emotions and thus humanity. Damn, I try. Sometimes I get lucky.
I tried to put people into one....It's not very good:
There was a sense of joy in the splashes when I looked down and saw it. Lots of people. And more clustered with movement. I tried. I missed. I'll try again. Brutal angle to shoot technically. Maybe I need to get crazy with the framing/composition next time. Maybe.
