Airports, Ringgit, and Yen

I passed thru KLIA 3 primary times (entry, transit KUA-LGK, homeward)  The first two times I withdrew RM1,000.  I still have RM1,000  Other than <150 Ringgit for Grab fares and <600 Ringgit for the Kuah Town hotel, everything was in cash.  And, I did not skimp.  And, I needn't share all the details but there was a good deed done in there too.  All food, drink, sundries (were there any?) came to less than $250 in 10 days.  Wow.

In Narita, which is a better airport to exit than to exist inside of, I withdrew 50,000 Yen.

The bus from Narita to Haneda was Y6000 and worth it.  Fast and easy.  No stress whatsoever.  If I cannot connect both in and out of Haneda on future trips, I will not sweat it.  Not in the least.  Efficient.

I paid cash for this hotel room ~Y17,500ish.  That includes the fees and taxes.  And, I'm not getting ripped off.  The bathroom alone was worth it.  Tiny but luxe.  Y155Yen to the dollar

I still have Something like Y25,000 left.  Future bus trips will be cash again.

Dinner

I actually had 4 packs of MH nuts - I slept on most of their flights.

$1.00 bizzaro rice crackers with cheese and a $2 beer.  Yay, vending machines!

They really are strange little crackers

Nice room:

I've gotten PJs from airlines before, but a hotel???
Was gonna steal 'em, but I'll never use them

Absurdly small but great

The Hotel had me worried a bit.  I selected T1 as my Haneda stop without reason but a little rhyme as I figured it was the oldest so certain to have public transit.  Correct!  Just not much English signage.  A bit of confusion, some small print and I found the Monorail.

Y230 and 2 stops, whoa!, I'm at the hotel.  50m to the door.

The vending machine run included a stop at the roof - because I could...

Hey, that's the view from my room too!

No idea what direction is which way or what your looking at.  Consider it the "obligatory tourist photo" of the day.  The last one is likely to be the airport.

Thankfully Yen coins are pretty easy to both accumulate and dispense.  Unlike the Ringgit (they collect endlessly.)  WHile I have no idea what to do with a Y1 coin, the Y100 and Y500 are vending machine wonders.  And monorail fare too!

First impression of Haneda is that it is MUCHMUCHMUCH nicer than Narita.
